Traditional Carpentry by Pro Monumenta at the banská Bystrica days
Pro Monumenta presented examples of traditional carpentry at the Banská Bystrica Days. Supporting traditional building crafts is one of our goals for the future direction. Traditional crafts play an irreplaceable role in restoring of monuments and preventive measures. They are also part of our intangible cultural heritage.

For the Norwegian partners, the press conference was at the same time the culmination of their final visit to Slovakia, during which we discussed in Banská Štiavnica the achieved results of the project and its possible continuation. http://www.teraz.sk/magazin/video-pro-monumenta-je-cestou-k-starost/256851-clanok.html
The third meeting with our partners from Riksantikvaren.
On April 24-27, we met with our Norwegian friends from the partner organisation Riksantikvaren - Harald Ibenholt, Christian Borhaven and the Director of Foreign Relations, Reidun Vea. On the way from Bratislava to Banská Štiavnica, where we had our base at that time, we "shortened" our visit to the Komárno fortress, which we inspected in 2014. In the course of the next few days, we descended to the mine or went to Hodruša Hámre (also checked before), visited the wooden articular church and the water castle in Hronsek, the best monuments of Kremnica and crossed several historical trusses in Banská Štiavnica. We have presented to the Norwegian partners the achievements of the project but we have also taken over the possibilities fot its continuity in the coming years. And we will continue! The Monument Authority of the Slovak Republic will again implement a predefined project during the next period 2014-2021! We greatly appreciate this award of our work and we look forward to meeting with our Norwegian friends again for about a year - this time in Norway when we try to pass on selected parts of our project experience to our donor partner.
Pro Monumenta became an obligatory part of the new sub-program of the Ministry of Culture for restoration of the cultural monuments
the Ministry of Culture announced its new subsidiary sub-programme for the owners of cultural monuments called 1.6 "Modernisation and complex reconstruction of national cultural monuments" with its priorities to support projects of a systematic approach. The specifics of this new sub-program is long term funding for heritage conservation of the monuments from the "list of the most important monuments in Slovakia".
This measure is intended to ensure that the state provided funds are used efficiently and effectively to those parts of the cultural monuments whose restoration is really a priority and that the proposed technological procedures and their implementation have brought real improvements in construction-technical state sites while preserving its heritage values.
